What a great podcast. I'd have never found it myself (as I'd never have thought to search for anything to do with running). I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Many thanks for mentioning it.

Thanks for turning me on to this!

I've wanted to try the Couch-to-5K program, but outside, I wasn't sure how to go about keeping track of what I'm supposed to be doing and for how long! It's great to know I can download it to my iPod (I have the nano-- LOVE IT!) and follow along!

I love those Amy's burritos! I bought the Kashi crunch a few months ago too but I thought it was really hard, like I was going to have to visit my dentist because it broke my teeth. I'll have to try the Greek yogurt though; hooked myself on that Icelandic Skyr yogurt!

Wanted to stop back by and let you know I made this recipe! It was very easy and perfect for something "different." Surprisingly not quite as flavorful as I usually like my dishes, but still tasy enough to want to make again, so I think I will add some cumin next time. This would be good served over rice too.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I do have a good pair of shoes, but I need to keep track of the miles on them...they may be due for a change out soon.

Make sure you own a really good pair of shoes suitable for running. You'll be able to stave off shin splints, sore knees and aching arches. Visit a good running store for help, and don't hesitate to add arch supports, or extra cushioning if you need it. Take it easy, too, at the beginning. Build a running/jogging base slowly. Heed the program - don't add unnecessary mileage. Don't do too much too fast. Remember, your goal is to be healthy and fit for a long time to come. Yes, I'm one of those who has overtrained....

Good for you! I felt like I should comment on this post because that is EXACTLY how I started running and it worked. The alternating running/walking thing, I mean. I want you to know that it works!! I went from running for about 2 and a half minutes at a time and now I can run for about 70-75 minutes. You can do it!! P.S. I read your moroccan chx recipe the other day and I am totally going to try it on Sunday! Happy running!
